New Sterilization containers

For a safe and value-preserving sterilization of ophthalmic surgical instruments

Heidelberg, November 28th, 2011 -The innovative reprocessing containers by Geuder offer best cleaning results and optimal protection for sensitive high-quality eye instruments. Geuder provides two different sterilization containers:
Microstop® is distinguished by its new filter technology which was developed in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute, the well-known German research organization. The cover of the high-quality aluminium container is equipped with a filter disc acting as a sterility barrier. This filter disc has a special geometry to separate air current and micro organisms. Thanks to this new filter technology, a costly and time-consuming change of the filter is no longer necessary. The cleaning, sterilizing and storing of the eye instruments is possible in one sieve, which reduces the loading and uploading times for the operating room personnel.
Sterisafe Duro® is the only container system in the world that can be used for plasma sterilization. With this extremely long-living plastic container, you can also carry out the usual sterilization methods such as steam or FO sterilization. This container system makes sure that high-quality instruments are ideally protected and keep their value as long as possible. The trays are equipped with spring-mounted fixation bars and can be adapted to individual requirements. The special geometry of the Sterisafe Duro® only allows minimal cleaning residues. The containers are made of polyfenylsulfone (PPSU), a high-performance plastic, which is extremely sturdy and very long-lasting, even under the roughest conditions.
