India has the highest rate of cataracts in the world, and in South-East Asia – especially Indonesia and Malaysia – ophthalmic surgeons are increasingly requesting our precision instruments and other ophthalmic products. For this reason we founded our subsidiary Geuder Asia-Pacific which has been present in the region since 2007.

The move into Asia falls perfectly in line with our company philosophy: for us it is not about increasing our exports in the shortest amount of time possible but rather it is about focusing on sustainable success. That is why we – just as in our home market – place great importance on getting to know the regional requirements and developments through dialog with ophthalmologists, so that we can provide them with products and services of the highest quality.

Our team in Singapore is already coordinating and managing an extensive network of sales partners. Geuder Asia-Pacific is focusing on expanding its own sales as well as establishing its own service centers. Our instruments, systems and fluids, however, are still being manufactured domestically to our high standards.
